Sustainability at BHC
Renewable energy currently fuels 72% of BHC’s production and office facilities, with an estimated 7.5 million kWh generated per year.
This saves approximately, on average, 1,391 tonnes of CO2e emissions from being emitted into the atmosphere each year.
Since 2016, 4.3 million kWh of surplus Wind Electricity has been exported back to the National Grid, in total preventing an estimated 1,364 tonnes of CO2e from being emitted into the atmosphere, and assisting in meeting local, national and global climate change targets.
With our current renewables, BHC can offer a tonne of steel with 49% less associated carbon emissions compared to our carbon emissions prior to the installation of renewables.

Today we’re throwing it back to 2019 when we completed this 127m x 40m Cubicle Shed with underground slurry storage.
Not only were we responsible for all building works and fitting out, but we also designed the shed and achieved Planning and Building Warrant.

We have recently completed a 150′ x 40′ Storage Shed in South Lanarkshire.
Prior to starting construction works, our Architect Team were responsible for achieving Planning and Building Warrant for the project.

A throwback to 2018 when we were on site delivering two bespoke Sheep Sheds at a farm in Tweedsmuir.
BHC were involved from the very beginning of the project with our architect team achieving Planning Permission and Building Warrant for the 160ft x 30ft and 120ft x 80ft portal framed sheds.
